the beginning

Twenty-five years ago, my journey into the world of clay began with my first class at the Danforth Museum. I was captivated by the transformative process of moulding a slab of clay into art with my hands. After years of hand building, I faced a creative block. It wasn’t until recently when one of my instructors encouraged me to revisit the pottery wheel that my passion reignited. That day marked a magical turning point, and thanks to wheel throwing, my work has soared to new creative heights.

Additionally, just last year, I rediscovered my passion for jewelry design, realizing it was something I needed to pursue alongside my pottery. This fusion of mediums has brought a new dimension to my artistic expression, allowing me to explore textures, forms and colours in unique ways. I’m excited to blend these two passions and share the results with you through my handcrafted necklaces and pottery creations.

the ideas

my creative inspiration

People often ask me what inspires my pieces. As you'll see in my portfolio, I'm not married to a single style. I let the piece determine what it wants to be formed into. That changes from day to day and continuously evolves with time.

meraki (μεράκι)

A word that Greeks often use to describe what happens when you infuse your soul, creativity and love into your work.

the making

my embellished approach

I embellish my pieces with textures or colors that capture snippets of beauty from everyday life; an intricate design on a napkin, the texture on a pile of rocks by the Mediterranean seaside or the glowing embers of a fire. Embellishment is how I pour my love into each piece.

I design each of my pieces knowing that they will find their way into the right home. I encourage you to browse the in stock pottery and jewelry or create a custom piece with me to find what is meaningful to you.
